Today I finally decided to switch over to the Blu-ray format concerning new movie purchases. Watching DVDs on my Full-HD Samsung PS50-A556S is quite ok-ish, but I finally want the real deal for my display. For quite some time I was searching for a appropriate player that is priced under 150 EUR and gets good results in showing hdtv content in 1080p. This lunch break I went to Saturn and checked the offers concerning Blu-ray standalone players and found the Sharp BD-HP21S which got good reviews for it’s HDTV capabilities. I don’t need the online features for the start and so I decided fastly to buy this player today together with some Blu-ray discs to give it a shot. Some experience reports will shortly follow.
