…customer websites with the looks coming from another designer can be quite a pain. Especially when these designers are only familiar with print stuff and try to annoy with measures in cm, colors in Pantone system and such stuff. Sometimes it seems print designers see themselves as the crown jewels of designers. They seem to feel like the real stuff and web is only a side product that has to be done. Arrogant. Also certain designers doing print only really shouldn’t try to design websites because you can simply see that they have no clue what the web is about at every edge. Questions concerning scaling to the browser window and so on seem to be hell for them as they are so bound to their print formats. But there are a few exceptions even in the print sector and I’ve worked with designers (To mention: Christina, Marco, Ekaterina and Sandra) that really loved doing something different to their all-day-work and dived into the wonderful world of webdesign. Nevertheless it even is nice to struggle through print-to-web-converted works.
BTW: Sorry for the silence, but some new Wii games needed my attention. Mario Strikers Charged Football to name it.
